NUMEROLOGY VR PROJECT

An abstract virtual reality project was built in Gear VR for an exhibit in Art Basel 2016.

The user enters a black room where the walls are lined with bulbs and numbers. The numbers rapidly change, flicker and soar past the user until the user’s personal number comes into focus.

At that point, the user is lowered into a maze and is instructed to find his/her number. When he/she activates the number (simple pointer), the walls of the maze melt and the user is then transported into a white room.

For the finale, animated text descriptions of personality traits – as determined by the particular number – encircle the user.
